Our exclusive day tour "One Day On Maria" incorporates a 3 hr scenic boat cruise exploring a choice of majestic destinations in and around Maria Island. Groups can choose from either the Fur Seal Discovery Tour or the Mistaken Cape Cruise.

Fur Seal Discovery Tour
Cruising north from Maria Island we visit a true jewel in Tasmania's wilderness crown, the Ile Des Phoques (Island of Seals). The Ile Des Phoques is a large rock island that is home to one of Australia's largest and most accessible seal colonies containing some of the deepest granite Sea Caves in the Southern Hemisphere.
Enjoy gourmet Tasmanian refreshments, tea and coffee while Australian Fur Seals swim and frolick around the boat. Learn about their ecology and lifestyle from our Skipper and take pleasure witnessing these remarkable animals in their own environment.
Passengers will explore the interior of the islands giant sea caves as our expert boat operators take the boat deep inside. This cruise is a truly unique Tasmanian experience. Large pods of dolphins and migrating whales can also be spotted on the cruise to Ile Des Phoques.

Mistaken Cape Cruise
Passing Mt Bishop & Clerk on the Northern end of the Island sees Maria transform dramatically. 350ft sheer Limestone and Sandstone cliffs give way to giant granite fire-red boulders. The coloured granite cliffs of Mistaken Cape look spectacular when lit up in a glow by the morning sun. Granite rocks protrude from the depths only meters from the cliffs creating a unique landscape of reefs and islands to explore. Cruise by boat into waterfall cove, explore the interior of two large sea caves Aladdin’s Cave and Mermaids Castle, sweep around the bay of Islands and enjoy the view south from Mistaken Cape to Eaglehawk Neck.
